in the tribe everyone has a role. Some are providers, others are cooks, some are wise-man. No one wants someone slese's role, because has own responsibilities and s/he needs to concentrate on them. On the other hand no one of the tribe would go, say, to a wise man to ask for provisions or to a cook to seek advise. Everyone has a jobs and does it with no thoughts of doing someone else's.
When you think about it , it is a quite biblical idea- everything has a time and a purpose. It is meaningless to try and force things to happen.
Considering the above thought, I think,it is save to say there is a pattern. Furthermore, I think, that in every society there is a pattern that has started in the same way - there is a time [and a place, and a person for everything].
In animal world we see it, too. There is so straight division on every species' territory and interests, that on the planet can exist millions of species in harmony, without bothering each other.
The secret, that all primary societies had, but somehow is unknown for western civilization, is that in all thins we need to be moderate. If we are not (as now) we are breaking the balance person-nature-cosmos and create vacuum, that needs to be filled. According to old belief this can create a dis-rupture of the world and angry the gods.
n a tribe this would never be risked. An order that creates harmony has been created and it will be followed until proven wrong. Don't be mistaken - a tribe would not risk a nonfunctional model of existence. It is just that a very good one has been found a long time ago. Maybe is time our society to think about the old models
