There are two kinds of people. Those who love to cook and those who think they cannot cook. Let us talk about the first kind.
People who love to cook tend to be extrovert and hearty. Or something of the kind would be said in this week's column of your favourite magazine. Well, truth is, I don't like such generalizations. You can be a hideous man who commits crimes by night, but still likes to cook all day. Horrible prospect, sorry, magazine columnists..
Now, cooking should not be something that pressures you and what you cook should not necessarily look as something taken out of a magazine.
Cooking should be fun and not something to sweat about. If you have got the right ingredients, plan accordingly your week and not let food go to waste. For the purpose, be sure to stack on mason jars, little, mid-sized and large to carry food with you. It is so much healthier, tastier and saves you so much buck for cinema tickets and drinks out..
Healthy eating is not at all about lettuce salads and muesli. Burgers can be healthy. With good products and baked methods, rather than fried you can rest assured that you are not committing a crime.
Planning your week in advance gives you the power to customize your menu and keep track of the nutrients that go in your body. Now, if you are 17 and you're reading this, you will just hit the exit button with a wide grin and take a sip of that 7-up. But hey.. save this one for later when you are twenty-something and you start caring about what goes into that bod of yours. Someone (important, I think) once (or maybe a couple of times) said something like: If your body was an expensive car would you feed it with bad fuel?
Fuel up for those days, because winter is coming and you need to keep it together. Remember the blissful days just some weeks back when you had Mediterranean lunch.. Mmm, that should keep you going. Cheers.
