Walking on the street can affect you in many ways. It can not, of course, be compared with walking in nature, which, except healthy, is proven to be and therapeutic. But while in a city, you can also notice some pretty amazing stuff.
For instance, people. There are always some grumpy ones, that you should not pay attention to, because they may ruin your day. On the other hand, there are the smiled ones, that you can not not smile back and even continue do it afterwards. The thoughtful ones always make you wander what are they thinking and the readers always make you want to pick at the cover. A special kind are the children. They never make you react in the same way, because they do all sorts of intriguing things – they observe you or look at things no grown up would think of, or create some kind of detraction.
Buildings can be a mood changer too. In every city there are these colorful small constructions that make you feel like in a children's book. They are charming and make the grey city shine. Right beside them are built
up the old, full of dignity ones with their plaster elements and
small statues. They make you wander about the people who created them
and those who lived there. And some buildings make you daydream about
the life you may have had if you lived there.
The shops also play role. For me especially charming have always been the flower and the bookshops. They create this colorful and inspiring atmosphere and just for a second, a glimpse, they take you away from all the rush and nervousness.
In the cities there is lot to be seen and loved, a lot to make your day. You just need to look carefully.
