Today I woke up very difficult. As much I could remember, I have had something strange to drink last night at the bar. Or maybe too much, I just don't know.
When I got up it was 1 p.m. and I was starving. I called for a delivery and got a sandwich, fries and a soda. I threw up the soda and opened a beer. The beer always helps me think better. I tried to remember as much as I can from the evening.
We were at this bar near Larry's place and had cocktails. It was in fact a calm evening, music not too loud, atmosphere for conversations. We talked about all kinds of stuff, mostly journeys. In this moment in my head shaped an memory - Larry, telling us about his wast travel in June at Jamaica. He got there, sent by a rich sponsor to make a painting of his favorite beach. Larry didn't say much about the painting, talked mostly about a woman he met there.
While l was listening to his story, I had started imagining Jamaica. In my head shaped pale desert beaches with shining blue see and emerald green palms around. The wind is blowing and is carrying around sand and salty sea water drops. I left the breakfast, went in my studio and started painting. The rocks in the small bay are rusty red, one can hear the sound from the colorful windows' shutters crashing against the frames. The sun is coming down slowly leaving a bright trace in the sky. A bird is passing near, walking on the shore, looking for something to eat ( I finish the fries). It is all dusty grey with white cheeks and small brown eyes.
When I stepped away from the painting I was out of cigarettes and beer. From the sheet of paper a Jamaican woman was looking at me with her almond eyes.
