Sometimes I like to imagine what real life would be if it was part of a book. While reading a new book, I often put myself or people around me in the main character's or a secondary hero's shoes. The narrative is not always as smooth, as the written words, but it does deserve to emerge on a page sometimes. On the other hand, I have never before put a whole perspective together.
If I myself was a heroine in a story, I believe it would be an adventurous comedy. My author would need a lot sense of humor in order to deal with my crazy thoughts and decisions. I see the book as some sort of fantasy, so I can obtain some kind of magic. I am thinking most definitely flying and maybe some water magic.
My heroine would have a happy childhood, broken by an unfortunate accident. Let's say a kidnap. Then, thanks to her still childish, but yet sharp mind, she will manage to escape her attackers and run in the woods (a place, where no one dares to wander). Here she will have some unpleasant time alone with herself and with hers, and not only, demons. In the end she would find salvation in a sanctuary - a place of light, knowledge and understanding. At this point the story will pause in order to follow the period of growing up and getting smarter. Here's where the mentioned before author's humor will be needed.
Then in the heroin's life will come a moment of not well understood wisdom, boldness and youth stupidity and she will leave the sanctuary, which was providing her knowledge, security and close ones, to travel the world and seek adventures. Maybe all interesting adventurous heroes are a bit stupid... or more than a bit. Soon enough our heroine will find out that she is not as almighty, as she thinks and the messy part will be in order.
As for the endings, there would be, I believe, couple of alternatives for the author to choose from:
I see, if not best seller, at least a box office winner here.
Can you imagine the book of your life?
