Living in a community is a large part of a society, even of civilization. It is actually a part of us. The truth is that we can not really live alone. Even if one does not like a crowd around him/herself, we all come from a family, which is kind of community. It is a micro pattern that we will repeat over and over again. It is just human.
Now I myself am living in a new for me society. I recently moved to a not very large village in the country due to my work. When I first came here I wasn't expecting a lot of new connections. To be hones, I thought that a large part of my personal world will remain unchanged - I would keep in touch with my friends and family, just like I did before. But when I started living in the village I quickly found myself in the middle his small social water twist. People were kind and friendly. Soon I realized I was chatting and greeting a great deal of new acquaintances/
In this small community everyone knows a little too much for everyone; gossips a little and is a little more curious that one could expect. But in the end when you have to clean up your yard or repair your roof suddenly a group of helpers-volunteers pops on your door.
Smiling at a bunch of people before you even had your breakfast really makes your day. Getting some small homemade gifts out of nowhere... well, just makes you a better person.
I still keep in touch with my beloved ones, who are away, my family, my friends. But when I turn off my computer, a group of smiled friendly faces awaits me to discuss our common everyday life.
