It is that time of the day again.. when we talk about coffee. Coffee makes the world go round and your head straight. Deep rich clouds of absolute awesomeness. You turn the espresso machine on, just press that little button (if you can open your eyes before sipping the magical potion) and go perform your morning tasks in a fashionably slow pace. You put your mascara on and leave some tiny dots of imperfection, hey, it is cool to look messy nowadays, grab that long americano and get going. Just round the corner you pinch the daily newspaper and rush for the bus. This part is optional and applies only if you have no car. I'd leave my americano if I had to do that.
Well, to be fair with you I don't like americano, but you get the idea.
On your way to the office, contemplating the news you have read from your newspaper, or e-read from the e-reader, i-read on the internet, or not read because someone was too loud, you start thinking when you will be having your next cup of bliss that would set the tone for work.
You step into the white, minimalistic office with modern ecclectic upholstered furniture and opt for the beloved corner, the one which proudly contains the coffee machine on a high pedestal. This machine is what gives you power, you cherish it, clean it, nourish it with fine coffee beans, sing songs to it while you are alone and caress it while it prepares your cup of espresso. Well, you step into this heaven of a place, waltzing to the machine or fashionably queueing if you have missed your bus and there is someone already there.
One espresso, expresso, per favore. The day needs to start and you have got to keep moving. You crack the window open and let the fine autumn breeze bring on golden leaves in and the aroma of the mountain where you could be, but are not. You could slowly brew one up there, by the way. Reading a book sprawled on a carpet sewn by mother nature which theatrically ... sh,
Colleague: "Good morning."
You: "Oh, hi."
Let's talk about the coffee again some other time. I've got some emails I should see to.
My best regards.
